Mirror Paint
A highly reflective chrome paint. Applied correctly, you can achieve a mirror like finish to your work.
This is a solvent based paint. 100ml or 250ml
Application.
For best results we advise applying this last and only backing if needs be. >Shake the bottle well before use (as is ready to use, with no mixing required) >Make sure there is NO moisture in the airbrush >Apply multiple thin coats applying 1-2min flashing time between them, until it is no longer transparent >allow the paint to dry (24hour) >Backing/lacquering is possible, so long as the paint has set and applied in light coats, but make sure these are thin coats and have a low VOC and low levels of solvent (otherwise it vents off solvents that react with the ‘mirror paint’ and distorts the effect). (We have found a light dusting of water-based silver paint protects the paint, or water-based black works very well, remembering to allow it to dry fully beforehand.)
You can use ‘mirror paint’ the reverse way, applying it on top of a base colour, which needs to be a glass like finish and remembering that 14 days should pass allowing for any venting of solvents from the base coat.
